Love & Other Drugs

Today’s review is of a movie that my wife made me watch but I have to admit it was really good, so I am glad that she did. The Movie is called Love & Other Drugs.

The movie features Jake Gyllenhaal as pharmaceutical representative Jamie Randall who becomes a player in the big game of male-performance-enhancement-drug sales and, along the way, finds unexpected romance with a woman (Anne Hathaway) suffering from Parkinson's disease. Based on the real-life Jamie Reidy's memoir, Hard Sell: The Evolution of a Viagra Salesman, this satirical look inside the culture of Big Pharm is directed by Edward Zwick.

I have to say the movie was a surprise hit with my wife and myself, we rarely like the same films. The movie is quite funny through out but does have some dramatic and touching scenes between Gyllenhaal and Hathaway that left my wife with some tears in her eyes. The comedy for me really kicks in when watching the scenes between Jamie and his millionaire, nerdy, software engineer brother. Good Times! I really enjoyed the entire film and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good film to watch with your significant other.

My wife enjoyed and if she is happy I am happy, 5 stars.
